Although this is Blue Mambo’s debut CD the members of Blue Mambo are veteran Salsa, Mambo, Latin Jazz performers and it shows in the quality of the music and the production. This is not hard core salsa but very smooth Mambo/Latin Jazz with 2 excellent Cha Cha tracks and one Samba flavoured track. There is something very nice going on with this music as it tears you between wanting to dance and wanting to just sit down, listen to it and not miss a beat. Blue Mambo is lead by guitarist Charles Alletto and drummer Victor Rendón. The ensemble brings a group of veteran musicians with a wide variety of experience in the field and features original compositions by both leaders. Blue Mambo’s debut CD was released in February of 2008 and is already getting airplay in New York, Miami, Seattle, Chicago, California and worldwide.
